ORDINANCE NO. 2421
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHING -
TON, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP ADOPTED
BY SECTION 18.50.010 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE
BY REDUCING THE PROPOSED RIGHT OF WAY OF ELM
STREET BETWEEN SIXTH AVENUE SOUTH AND SEVENTH
AVENUE SOUTH, FILE NUMBER ST-5-83.
WHEREAS, the Edmonds Hearing Examiner has held a
public hearing regarding an amendment to the Official Street
Map in conjunction with a street vacation and has forwarded
his findings, conclusions and recommendations to the City
Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after giving due considera-
tion to the recommendation of the Hearing Examiner, the
comments made by the interested parties in this matter, and
the existing neighborhood and traffic conditions, finds the
proposed amendment to the Official Street Map to be in the
best interests of the public health, safety and general
welfare, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the following
amendment will have no significant adverse environmental
impacts, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Official Street Map, adopted by
Section 18.50.010 of the Edmonds City Code, as amended, is
hereby further amended to reduce the proposed right-of-way
along Elm Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues South, from 60
feet in width to 50 feet in width, as more particularly
described on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated in
full herein by this reference.
Section 2. The City Engineer is hereby authorized and
directed to amend the Official Street Map to depict the
revisions as set forth in Section 1 above.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
