It has been called to my attention that you have -been working with City
staff in identifying sources of the pollution whi-.c•h discharge into Lake
Ballinger and corrective measures. I also understand that you intend
to make the necessary changes on your property to -either eliminate or
control the source of pollution from your property.
I want to express, on behalf of the City, our appreciation for your
cooperation. This is a problem that will require the cooperative
effort by everyone in the community. Your positive attitude and
cooperation in helping to solve this problem will not go unnoticed.
Your immediate attention will help establish your business as a member
of the community in taking an active roll in cleaning up our
environment.

Visual inspection of the storm drains adjacent to your place of
business has indicated that significant amounts of pollution, are
entering the storm conveyance system that is tributory to Halls Creek
and Lake Ballinger.
This is in violation of City, State, and Federal ordinances and laws.
We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss measures designed to
correct the problem. We would prefer to handle such problems on a
local level with your voluntary cooperation.
