Call to Order
Chair Jerry Janacek called the meeting to order at 4:01 pm.

Finance Report: no report
Chair Report:
Possible new board member - We have a member of the community who
expressed an interest in learning more about the Cemetery Board, she has
been sent an application and was invited to join in on today's meeting.
Melissa will follow up as this individual is still thinking about it.
Staff Report:
• Kim reviewed our Sales and Burials report; we are well above 2020's
numbers; she also reported that the 2021-2022 City budget is still going
through the process for approval; the pricing list for the Cemetery will be a
more formal process going forward, changes will need to be reviewed and
approved before being implemented.
• A question was posed about the appropriateness of "Special Projects" being
included in the Fund 130; Angie clarified for the Board that Special Projects
fits well within the Fund 130.

Old Business:
• History of the Edmonds Cemetery written by Betty Gaeng - discussed
additions, layout, how it will be published and more, at length. Jerry
suggested that we form a small sub -committee to take the discussion further
and bring back to the Board. All were in agreement. The goal would be to
have a finished product by the end of the year to be published in some way
for early 2022.
New Business:
• Began the discussion for Memorial Day and the Walk Back in Time for 2022;
it was agreed to come back in October and November to continue with our
ideas and have our themes ready to start planning for the Board meeting in
January 2022.
Announcements:
• Kim Anderson announced that this is her last Board meeting with us as she is
moving to Arizona. While we are happy for her we will miss her; Board
members expressed their appreciation for all of her dedicated work for the
Cemetery Board.
