CALL TO ORDER:
Chair Ken Jones called the meeting to order at 9:08 AM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Council member Susan Paine moved to approve the minutes from the regularly called
01/29/2021 meeting. Citizen -at -large Jim Distelhorst seconded the motion. The motion carried.
DISCUSS AND APPROVE CLAIMS SUMMARY REPORT 01/01/2021-03/31/2021
Chair Jones introduced the claims summary report for the first quarter of 2021. Chair Jones mentioned
that there was an overall $7,000 increase over the same period last year, which seems to be due to an
increase in Medicare part B premiums and some slight increase in long term care. There was some
discussion about the budget and no concerns were mentioned.

Chair Jones made a motion to approve the claims summary report for the period of 01/01/2021
to 03/31/2021 in the amount of $76,924.40. Citizen -at -large Distelhorst seconded the motion. The
motion carried.
Edmonds Disability Board — 04/30/2021
OTHER
Chair Jones brought up the topic of board member selections. HR Assistant Carly Derrick indicated that
there are no term limits for the Citizen -at -large and the board could reappoint Jim Distelhorst if he was
still interested in serving. Citizen -at -large Distelhorst responded that he was still interested in serving on
the board. HR Assistant Derrick continued that Ken Jones term ends effective today, 4/30/2021. HR
Analyst Emily Wagener added that the board could choose to extend Ken's term while an official
election process is held if he is still interested in serving on the board. Chair Jones confirmed he was
interested in serving.
Council Member Paine made a motion for Ken Jones to be approved for a three-month
extension as an Edmonds Disability Board Member. Citizen -at -Large Distelhorst seconded. The
motion carried.
Council Member Vivian Olson made a motion for Jim Distelhorst to be re -appointed for another
two-year term as the Board's Citizen -at -Large retroactive to October 1, 2020. Council Member
Paine seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The board discussed dates for the next meeting for the 2nd quarter of 2021. It was determined the
board would tentatively meet on 7/30/2021 at 9:00 AM.
The board agreed they would be interested in discussing board policies at the next meeting. HR
Analyst Wagener confirmed that policies would be brought to the board for review at the next meeting.
Chair Jones adjourned the meeting at 9:19 AM.
