• Earthquake this past week in Japan
o lyoko reported that it may not have impacted Hekinan as it was much more north than
the city. They have been on tsunami watch this past week.
Continuing Business:
• Virtually Connecting with Hekinan
o Carolyn: They would like to communicate through Zoom. The possible
participants could be residents, city workers, junior highs and high school
students. They would like to plan something during summer break, possibly a
one -hour meetup. We could share videos or a presentation, followed up by an
open conversation.
o Their summer break is the first two weeks of August.
o Brain storming
■ Aquasox game
■ Recruit former students to help put together the event
■ Some form of contact at the Mariners
Share a breakfast — dinner event (11 hour time change)
Setting up a breakout room between delegates of the same year

Greg may be accepting a permanent role in Juneau.
We have a couple of potential commissioners. The mayor is currently only meeting on essential
businesses and is holding on meeting new applicants.
