• Virtually Connecting with Hekinan
o Time Change
■ There is a conflict at the previously discussed time. Our new time is 9-10pm
Saturday, August 28tn
o Video Presentation
■ We will be asking Larry Vogel for assistance on searching for previous photos
and footage. Carolyn and lyoko will search through archives for photos from
previous events.
■ Carolyn will consult with IT to ensure what the best conference method to use
(Zoom, etc.) and see the best method to check how to send the videos in.
■ Gillian would consider moderating and managing the room.
■ Consider using the City's drone to capture footage. Katy also has a contact of a
videographer.
o Questions from Hekinan:
■ Are we considering talking about Edmonds City History and demographic
information?
What role will the mayors have? We may both consider opening the videos with
a message from the mayor. Councilors would be invited to participate and share
footage, but not part of the presentation.

Announcements:
Karyn: Phil Onishi's wife has passed away in February of 2021. Phil was a chaperone with Karyn
in 2013 and a music teacher at Lynnwood High School. Carolyn will get a card and send it signed
by the Commission.
• Carolyn will be gone during the July meeting.
