D Turn on video cameras while sharing presentation to show support and presence to Council. Presentation will be within the first 5 minutes, after roll call and pledge of allegiance. IV. DIVERSITY COMMISSION UPDATES Owen attended the June 3rd Diversity Commission meeting and updated them about the Youth Commission. Received compliments about how we're running our meetings. Additionally, the Diversity Commission has sub -groups, including Policy, Partnerships, and Outreach; Events; and Language Accessibility. They have a public comments portion, which we will now incorporate into our meetings. It would be great to have a Youth Commission member at each Diversity Commission meeting who updates them towards the beginning of the meeting. V. COMMITTEE MEETINGS & UPDATES The Youth Commission's committees (Diversity, Youth & Government, Diversity & Equity, and Environment) met between 6:40 and 7:10 pm. Youth & Government: Idea to highlight critical topics that are on the agenda at Council meetings through Instagram posts. Will be doing more research into the need for a Municipal Youth Court. Plans on occasionally meeting during the summer. Environment: Working on drafting email regarding the 2050 Climate Vision Plan, but primary focus remains on informative posts about recycling on Instagram. D Mental Health: Put together a list of links about mental health resources to put in LinkTree and consolidate into an Instagram story post. Diversity & Equity: Making posts for Pride Month and actions that we can take. VI. FINAL COMMENTS Casey: A lot has been accomplished. She's excited for the presentation. Enjoy the summer and free time. Brook: Thankful that we had a great year. Also wanted to mention that the city now has an Uptown Summer Market on the Highway 99 corridor that will be held on July 8th, August 12th, and September 9th that will mirror the Downtown Farmers Market.
