This is a letter in response to items 1 and 2 of the Plan Review Comments
dated 3/31/20 .
1. Existing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are shown on sheets
A2 and A3. The detectors are for both smoke and carbon monoxide.
The new fixture location is shown at the existing Bedroom 2. All of
the existing detectors, and the new one are inter connected. One goes
off they all go off.
2. The new roofs will be vented at the new eaves with a continuous
1" air space to the new continuous ridge vents above.
See sheet A4.
There are no crawl space areas.
Total new roof vented area: 404sf at 1/150 = 2.7sf

This letter is in response to items 3-6 of the Plan Review Comments dated 3/31/20 for the above
referenced subject.
3. A prefabricated metal railing will be used. The loading requirements have been added to the
plans.
4. The size and material are now indicated on the plans.
5. Holdowns are now shown on the framing plan and detail.
6. A post to beam connection detail has been added.
