Call to Order
Jerry called the meeting to order at 4:02pm

Approval of Minutes - September 16, 2021 regular board meeting minutes unanimously approved.
Chair Report
Jerry announced that board officer elections will be next month. Today, we will spend a significant part of
our time discussing the draft of the history of the Edmonds Cemetery.
Finance Report:
The financial reports for the month ending August 31, 2021 were emailed to all board members ahead of
this board meeting.
Staff Report:
• Angie announced that the construction going on at the Civic field is moving along quite well. This project
began August 9th, 2021, and is scheduled for completion during the winter of 2022.
Rich announced that October 1st was Kyle's last day this year as seasonal help for Cliff at the cemetery. In
Kyle's exit interview, he stated that he really enjoys the work and would like to come back next year. He
has done a great job! Rich also announced that this Halloween, Cliff will not stay the night at the cemetery,
but will close the gates at 6pm on October 31st, and re -open them November 1st at 7am. Cliff is only
having to mow the cemetery 2 times a month now and the irrigation system has been shut down for the
winter. He will also be putting up the crosses for Veterans Day. There have been many services also at the
cemetery. Things are going quite well.

Old Business:
Review draft of History of Edmonds Cemetery - Jerry reported that the sub -committee had met and
gone over and discussed what Betty has written. Their result is the current draft titled "A Place of
Tradition". The board reviewed the current draft making some changes, discussing what to include or not
include, etc. This process will continue at the next board meeting in November.
New Business:
• Election of Board Officers - Jerry announced that this will occur at the November board meeting.
• We discussed when to start planning for the 2022 Memorial Day and Walk Back In Time events.
Announcements:
• Jerry announced that he will be stepping down from the board at the end of this year, due to his many
commitments. He will be available to be an honorary board member and to help with 2022's events.
Adjournment:
The meeting was adjourned at 5:02pm.
