Administration:
1. Approve/Amend Agenda: Karyn moved, Michele seconded; approved
2. Approve/Amend Minutes: No minutes to approve (February retreat)

New Business:
1. Potential Participation for the ESCC
a. A table at the Arts Festival -June 17, 18, and 19th, not sure of cost
Maybe a showcase of Japanese student art and a brochure
Hang student art with local students' art.
b. Saturday Market -Carolyn reached out. It would cost $25.
Potential dates we thought of were July 9 and August 27.
We would create opportunities for our community to see what the Sister City is about,
using handouts, photo boards, videos and commissioners could possibly wear kimonos.
c. Event -Display at Graphite and Waterfront Center and Library.
Most of the Hekinan Art is in the hands of the Cultural Arts Department. We will need to
work with them on any displays.
Continuing Business:
1. Virtual meet -up
• We need to use the plan that Rae and Katie developed, give Hekinan our ideas and
some proposed dates.
• Hekinan will need more time to prepare, as they will have to translate information for
us.
• Michele is contacting past student delegates
• Michele needs photos of Edmonds Students in Hekinan and on field trips. Send to
Michele's email.
2. 2023-Possible Adult Exchange
• Hekinan will give us an answer in May.
• Right now tourists need visas to travel in Japan
• Need all three Covid shots. Need test before flight and after the flight.
Announcements:
1. Interviewing three more commissioners. Carolyn will work on setting up the interviews.
2. We will continue our zoom meetings.
