interested in becoming a Cemetery board member.

Old Business:
• Pamphlet Distribution: Each of the board members present reported on where they
distributed copies of the pamphlet. Joan reported on the Chamber of Commerce meeting
she attended last Wednesday where she distributed copies of the pamphlet and spoke to
the members about the pamphlet and about the cemetery. It was decided to put on the
April board meeting agenda the discussion of more places to distribute the pamphlet.
• Memorial Day 2022: Melissa reported on where things are right now in lining up the
various groups and people to partake in this year's event. Monica McNeil, a Gold Star
mother, will be the speaker. The North Sound Church Singers, led by Allan Skoog, will
provide the singing for the event. We are still waiting to hear from the bag pipe player
and Edmonds/Woodway High School brass quintet. If either of these groups/people
cannot attend, the North Sound Singers will take their place(s). We will discuss how we
would like the Memorial Day event brochure to look like for this year at the April board
meeting.
• Walk Back In Time 2022: The board decided at last month's board meeting to feature
the people Betty suggested for this year's event. We were all sent an email from Betty in
February with bios of these, and many other, pioneer people and families in Edmonds.
Before April's board meeting, we will each go over these selected bios and decide who
we'd like to be. We will discuss this at the April meeting. This event will take place on
Thursday, July 21St, 2022, and begin at 1:OOpm.
• Board Member Recruitment: We discussed various ways we can attract people who
would like to become Edmonds Cemetery board members. One idea is to have something
printed in My Edmonds News.
Melissa and Cara will work on this.
New Business:
Something from the Board for Donna Hoggins: In lieu of flowers, Donna's family
would like donations given to certain charities. Melissa will get a list of these. Also, the
board will send a card to Dale and his family.
Announcements:
• Richard Marin announced that he would definitely like to join the Cemetery board. All
board members present are very happy to have him join the board. He will now fill out
and submit the application with the City of Edmonds.
• We will also consider meeting back in person.
Adjournment:
The meeting was adjourned at 4:58pm.
Next Meeting: Our next regular board meeting will be on Zoom at 4pm, Thursday, April
21, 2022.
