Administration:
1. Approve/Amend Agenda: Karyn moved, Katie seconded; approved
2. Approve/Amend Minutes: Michele moved, Karyn seconded; approved with no changes
3. Financials: Payment to Museum for two days at Summer Market; $70
New Business:
1. Passing on setting -up at Arts Festival this year, too expensive
2. Michele and Karyn found student art to display. It would be nice to start an art exchange
between Hekinan and Edmonds again
3. Market Booth confirmed for: Saturday July 9 and August 27 from 9 am — 2 pm
a. Need commissioners to man booth in shifts from 8:30 am — 2:30 pm. Michele will
handle sign-up through Facebook private page
b. Plenty of items to use as display in the Sister City storage room
c. Karyn will provide a blanket on 7/9 day for kid activities
d. Commissioners to dress in costume while staffing the booth. Hapi coats and kimono,
and yukata are available to borrow.
e. Need to reach out to past students and chaperones to visit or help
Continued Business:
1. Virtual meet -up
• Set for Saturday, October 1, 2022
• Include middle and high school students
2. Adult exchange
• Still awaiting response from Hekinan; hope to have response by May meeting
• Will reach -out to travel agent
• Edmonds delegation will travel to Hekinan in late March/early April
• Hekinan delegation will travel to Edmonds in late October/early November
Announcements:
1. Gabe resigning as of end -of -May, moving out of the area
