forService as a Student Representative To The Edmonds City Council
Whereas, Br00k R06ettS, a student at Shorewood High School, volunteered to serve as a Student
Representative of the Edmonds City Council; and.
Whereas, Mr. Roberts served as a student member of the City Council for two terms; September202O —June 2021, and
September 2021 - June 2022; and
Whereas, Mr. Roberts strived to advocate for equity in issues facing Edmonds' youth, and offered a conduit
between Council and the Edmonds Youth Commission where he also served; and
Whereas, He was enthusiastic and worked diligently on the Suicide Prevention Campaign, facilitated a speaker
presentation on Rank Choice voting, and helped in sharing information about the use of pronouns in City-wide
communications.
The City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington her6y resolves as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council and the Mayor hereby extend their best wishes to Brook and his future endeavors and
express the hope that he will continue to contribute to the democratic process of government in the City of
Edmonds and elsewhere.
