A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, COMMENDING GREG URBAN
WHEREAS, Greg Urban began as Edmonds Chamber President and CEO on May 5, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Urban's demonstrated support of key Chamber events help to make Edmonds,
Edmonds; including 4th of July, Taste Edmonds, Halloween Trick -or -Treat, the Classic Car
Show and Holiday Tree Lighting; and
WHEREAS, Greg Urban distinguished himself as a community and small business "MVP" at the
start of the COVID-19 pandemic, making connections, advertising grant opportunities and
guiding business owners through the most trying of times; and
WHEREAS, with a sense of urgency Mr. Urban worked with other community leaders to raise
over $100,000 to help the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce survive the pandemic; and
WHEREAS, as a Snohomish County resident, Greg Urban was elected to represent the
community on the South County Fire Commission Board in 2019, and elected Chair in 2021 and
2022; and
WHEREAS, under Mr. Urban's steady, insightful, and determined leadership, the Edmonds
Chamber of Commerce has established itself as a community resource and touchstone for
commerce in the City of Edmonds;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF EDMONDS that Greg
Urban has been a distinguished friend and contributor to Edmonds' civic and business
communities, and his presence here will be greatly missed.
RESOLVED this 28th day of June 2022.
