The Cemetery Board currently has one open position due to a retirement.
Staff Recommendation
Interview candidate Linda Russell for appointment to Cemetery Board Position #5.
Narrative
After review of Ms. Russell's application by Mayor Nelson and Staff, Mayor Nelson interviewed Ms.
Russell and is recommending her appointment to the Board.

Occupational status and background -I am a retired teacher in the Lynnwood and Everett Districts/
I have lived in Edmonds since 1979.
Organizational afffliatlans:Local history is of great interest to me_ I have volunteered at the Edmonds
Historical Museum in the past and currently volunteer at the National
Nordic Museum, I am a
member of the Society for Women and the Civil and the American Battlefield Trust.
Why are you seeking this appointment? The Memorial Day ceremony and the work that the board does
preserving our cemetery is something I appreciate. I have 2 dear "adopted" grandparents
buried at the cemetery so visit often_
What skilis and knowledge do you have to meet the sel"Ven criteria?I have time and energy to share,
I am interested in the cemetery and its history, and I can volunteer to help on Memorial Day.
