Meeting called to order: 8:04am
Board Members/Administration in Attendance: Jen Lawson, Matt McCulloch, Olivia Brown -
Latham, Robert Boehlke, Beth Sanger, Ricky Bobadilla and Carrie Hulbert.
City of Edmonds Representative in Attendance: Susan McLaughlin, Megan Luttrell
Guests: Liz Morgan (FIELD), Whitney Popa (Workhorse HQ,) Kathy Wong (Edmonds Vistion,)
Erica Sugg (Edmonds Chamber of Commerce.)
Public Comment: Erica Sugg presented. Car show is on Sunday. Trash cans will be emptied
on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday. Streets will closed. Please let staff know about road
closures. After party at Engel's from 4-9pm.
City Report: Todd Tatum, Community Services and Economic Director (new Patrick) Creative
District advisory committee will be restarted. Marketing and partnership. Dataf-fy partnership
provides information on visits to parts of the city. The city will give presentation about what
visitation looks like. Comprehensive plan is right at the beginning stages.
Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes: Ricky moved to approve the minutes and Olivia
seconded. No discussion. All affirmed.
President's Report: Made by Jenn. Kimberly left a message that was conveyed... you are
welcome to attend the hosted meetings by the city. Open to the public. Strongly urges all to
participate to help shape the neighborhood will choose to have our businesses in.
Jenn said the city conducted a survey at the meeting in July. Discussed a downtown 2-day
festival. Other neighborhoods are planning different events. The next meeting is tomorrow
morning at 8:30am in the Bracketts Room. Come to the meeting or email Susan McLaughlin
directly if you would like to participate.
Treasurer's Report: Matt presented. Don't have August numbers yet. Sharing July. Ahead a
little bit. Expenses are right in line with the budget.
New Businesses Added to BID: Matt presented. Two new businesses: Salish Insurance
Group and Midnight Cookie Company opened up a temporary space. Cookie company is very
interested in a permanent space.
Committee Updates
Admin: Carrie presented. Discussed budget for next year. There is a Main St Revitalize
Washington Conference in Wenatchee. Kimberly went in the past. Three days and two
nights. Cost is $700 for Kimberly and Carrie to go. We have historically sent people in
the past with a similar budget. Olivia moved to send Kimberly and Carrie to the meeting.
Matt seconded. No discussed. All in favor.
Marketing: Carrie presented. Starting to plan for the holidays. Will be meeting with
Todd. This year's holiday events will be like last year. Publishing a fall article. Will send
out the ads results from the Summer Loving campaign. Will need to take down the flags
before Labor Day in the future. Please save the Loving Summer window clings.
• Communication and Outreach: Matt spoke. No updates. Keep up the new member
visits.
• Appearance & Environment: Did not meet this week due to vacations. Still hoping to
get a hold harmless agreement for the church parking lot. Talking to Coastal Community
and DME to use their parking lot. Sidewalk decals for the future are being explored.
Could be used to direct visitors around town.
New Business: Brouhaha is next weekend. Scarecrow festival is coming up. There will be a
trick or treat night from 5-7 around the fountain area on Halloween. Working Washington grants
are due tomorrow.
