Chair Report:
• Tracy announced that the pamphlet is complete and printed. We all received a copy before this board
meeting so that we could see how it all looked. All the board agreed that it looks very nice and is well
done. Kerry brought up that the section on the Pandemic of 1920 might be better called the Pandemic of
1918, since that is how it is known historically. When the pamphlet comes up for a second printing, the
change will be made then.
• Tracy reported that she has emailed Ashley in Germany a couple of times and has not yet had a response.
Staff Report:
• Rich reported that everything is going very well at the cemetery, and that the garbage problem seems to
have been taken care of.
Finance Report:
• Each of the board members was emailed ahead of this board meeting copies of the financial reports for the
cemetery for the month of December 2021. No one had questions about them and all looked good.
• Rich brought up that the number of burials in a month on the sales report combines in ground casket
burials and in ground ashes burials. He asked if the board would like to have the numbers separated out
in the report. The board agreed to have this done from now on.

Old Business:
• Pamphlet Distribution: Jerry will present the pamphlet to the Edmonds City Council. Cara will let us
know when the council will be back to having hybrid meetings, as this would be when Jerry could do a
presentation. It was decided to deliver pamphlets to: the library, the city office at the Anderson Center,
the Chamber of Commerce, to Cliff at the cemetery, the Water Front Center, City Hall, the satellite city hall
office on Highway 99, the Museum up at Alderwood Manor. The board members divided up these
locations to distribute the pamphlet.
• Memorial Day 2022: We were given the go ahead to have the ceremony this year by Angie Feser with the
City, and plans were discussed and contacts will be made.
• Walk Back In Time 2022: Betty suggested 5 people to feature for this event and it was decided to go
with these S. They are listed in the document that we were all emailed.
• Board Member Recruitment: Although we haven't yet heard from Ashley in Germany, it was decided to
have her remain on the board for the time being.
New Business:
Betty's Pioneers Document: Betty emailed each board member, ahead of this board meeting, her
document entitled "A Collection of Biographies and Family Histories". It was decided that we board
members will read and familiarize ourselves with this document prior to our March board meeting.
Announcements:
• Tracy announced that she will not be here for the next board meeting in March 2022.
Adjournment:
The meeting was adjourned at 5:03pm.
Next Meeting: Our next regular board meeting will be on Zoom at 4pm, Thursday, March 17, 2022.
