Occupational status and background:
Basically, my time is my own. I took an early retirement opportunity Boeing in 2016, then for 2 years took a role at Edmonds
Community College, helping run their engineering lab. Then I went back to Boeing for a few months to help them with the
certification of some 737's, but since May 2019 1 have been full time working on my music career - 3 albums released now.
Organizational affiliations:
Why are you seeking this appointment?
I have a strong passion for the arts, all arts, not just music, and I think it is on us all to encourage, foster and nurture all
artistic endeavors. Also, the arts are something everyone can access, that inclusivity is something our community needs. I
would hope that this appointment would afford me an opportunity to make that possible for Edmonds.
What skills and knowledge do you have to meet the selection criteria?
I feel that, as an engineer and a musician, I offer a unique whole world view to the arts. At Boeing, I held a senior leadership
role as an FAAAuthorized Representative and had full signature authority for all Interiors compliance to the regulations.
This was a role that required laser -focused project management skills, knowledge and commitment to the effort as well as a
high level of integrity. This, combined with my love of all artistic endeavors and the inclusivity and diversity art brings to a
community I think puts me in a unique position.
