Subject: Surface water release from downspouts and impervious
surfaces.
The City of Edmonds has gone on record with " MNR Contractors "at
302 Sunset during a phone conversation between Rob Strapanski and
myself. He had requested to establish a through curb release of the surface
water onto Sunset. I explained that the city no longer accepts this form of
release and that he could extend the existing storm system to the front of
the property and tie into it there. He stated that the release was onto the
sidewalk surface prior to his involvement with this project. I explained the
liability involved and that it wasn't acceptable either. I told him an option
would be to dig a " dry well " and allow the water to perk into the soil on
the property. He seamed to accept this as an option.
