Meeting called to order: 8:01AM
Public Comment: Beth shared the Art Festival sponsorship information.
Board Members/Administration in Attendance: Kimberly Koenig, Jen Lawson, Olivia Brown -
Latham, Robert Boehlke, Beth Sanger, Ricky Bobadilla, Cheryl Farrish, Devyn Cox, and Carrie
Hulbert.
City of Edmonds Representative in Attendance: Todd Tatum (Community Services and
Economic Development Director)
Guests: Liz Morgan (FIELD), Whitney Popa (Workhorse HQ), Erica Sugg (Edmonds Chamber
of Commerce), David Preston (Port of Edmonds), Shelia Cloney (Anchor Chic), Venus Fortoza
(Maize and Barley), and Brenda Spencer (Little Bipsy.)
Election: Secretary nominee: Olivia Brown -Latham, Treasurer: Jason Arnhill, President: Jen
Lawson. Used paper ballots for each position. Unanimous elections. Kimberly welcomed new
officers.
Jen took over meeting as president.
Election of board members: Venus Fortoza is available to fill the open-door position Musa left
vacant. Kimberly moved to appoint Venus. Ricky seconded. All were in favor and the motion
passed.
City Report: Todd reported. June 23 is the opening for the Civic Field. The field will be used
for more events: markets, Lunar New Year, plug -ins for food truck. Comprehensive plan is up
for discussion. On April 29, the city is sponsoring the Edmonds Earth Fair. This is an
educational opportunity to reduce the effects of climate change. Community Fair at Edmonds
Woodway High School on August 6 to learn about how to get involved with the city and local
non -profits. Heikkinen delegation is back from Japan. Housing bill allow will 2-6 homes on lots
has passed in Olympia. The bill that proposed vertical development around transit center has
stopped.
Chamber Program: The chamber gift certificates should go the chamber to be refunded and
will no longer be accepted at merchants. The fourth of July parade registration is open. Laugh-
a-thon fundraiser for the Wish Fund is taking place at the Edmonds Opera House on April 29.
Tickets on sale. Little Lies, local cover band is April 15, also at the Opera House.
Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes: Kimberly moved. Olivia seconded. All voted in
favor.

Treasurer's Report: n/a
New Businesses Added to BID: Camp Vintage. Logan and Christine Harris. Wish list on their
Instagram page.
Committee Updates
Admin: Election of new officers.
Marketing: Carrie presented. Green Edmonds campaign: bring your own container to
participating area businesses and receive wild flower seeds and a sticker. Loving
Summer campaign coming up. Beth suggested printing the logo on nylon flags for retail
sale.
Communication and Outreach: Carrie presented. Annual meeting last Tuesday. New
member visits are ongoing. Kimberly suggested that the downtown Edmonds merchant
meet -up could be a sub -committee of this group. Opportunity for restaurants and other
business types to organize. Robert thinks it's a good idea. New role as more of a social
connection. Robert: would encourage more retailers to be more involved with Ed.
Kimberly moved to make a subcommittee called the Downtown Merchant Meet -up.
Monthly meet -up with a monthly newsletter. Olivia seconded. All in favor. Motion passes.
Appearance & Environment: Carrie presented. City has leased out the Bank of
America lot for after hours parking. The signage has been completed. Loving Summer
signs: poles are PVC and dowels are wooden. Kimberly suggested using plastic and
referred TAP plastic. Jason said more trash cans are needed. Venus asked if there is
interest in environmental work or Diversity and Inclusion.
Dog waste bags needed. Waste bins with composting bins are needed.
