Edmonds Memorial Cemetery Board Meeting Minutes
April 20, 2023
Call to Order:
Tracy called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm.

Approval of Minutes: March 16, 2023 regular board meeting minutes unanimously approved.
Chair Report:
• Tracy reviewed the agenda. Also announced that Betty Gaeng had passed away on April 17, 2023.
Staff/Administrative Report for the cemetery numbers:
• The board members discussed the sales & burials report.
Financial Reports - none
Sales Report - Sales and Services report as of March 31, 2023.

Old Business:
Memorial Day Event Planning: The board continued going over the plans for the Memorial Day event.
We will continue the planning at the May board meeting. Various board members will continue contacting
and working with individuals and groups during this next month to help with the event. We discussed the
event program and what it would contain. It was decided to have the program ready to go to the printers
by the May board meeting.
Advertising: Ashely went over the Edmonds Cemetery Marketing Proposal. Richard made a motion to
submit this proposal to the city and Joan seconded the motion and the board passed the motion.
New Business:
• Cemetery (East) Gate on 1O0th: The north gate was damaged in a car accident. We discussed the east
gate and how narrow it is to get cars easily and safely through this gate. Since the north gate is going to be
fixed anyway, why not see about widening the east gate. Richard made a motion, and Kerry seconded the
motion, to get an estimate on widening the east gate at the same time as getting an estimate on repairs for
the north gate.
• Walk Back In Time Event: It was decided to continue the planning for this event at May's board meeting.
Announcements:
• Kerry Radley announced that she won't be attending the May 2023 board meeting, as she will be out of
town.
Adjournment:
The meeting was adjourned at 5:01pm.
Next Meeting: Our next regular board meeting will be in person Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the Frances
Anderson Center.
