Sam moved to call the meeting to order at 6:01 PM.
Julie read the land acknowledgment statement.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Sam made a motion to approve this week's agenda; no alterations. Seconded by Joelle. The
motion passed unanimously.
III. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES OF APRIL 26, 2023
Sam moved to approve the minutes. Seconded by Charlie. The motion passed
Unanimously.
IV. PUBLIC COMMENT

V. COUNCIL PRESENTATION WORK
We looked over presentation slides and everyone said it looks good
Slides included introduction, contents, activities, accomplishments we achieved, our photos,
and our goal for next year
Sam, Julie, and Charlie will speak in the presentation
Sam: will present everything until introduction
Julie: will present from contents to Pineridge Park clean-up
Charlie: will present from instagram presence to our goals
VI. DISCUSS PINERIDGE PARK CLEANUP
May 20th: Youth can get service hours by doing pinerdge park cleanup (Ivy Removal)
VII. DIVERSITY COMMISSION MEETING DEBRIEf
Sam and Charlie talked about Earth Day cleanup in diversity commission meeting and they liked
it
They asked what Edmonds should do for pride month
Idea: put links about pride month events we can go to in our linktree, put pride flags around
Edmonds
Fourth of July parade - sam is going to ask them what they want youth commissioners to do
VIII. UPDATE ON CIVIC PARK OPENING
The people running the event wants youth commissioner be there with a booth
Event start at 4 pm but commissioner have to be there by 3:15-3:30, June 23rd, 2023
