I. ROLL CALL & ABSENCES
Sam moved to call the meeting to order at 6:01 PM.
Sophie read the land acknowledgment statement.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Sam made a motion to approve this week's agenda; no alterations. Seconded by Charlie. The
motion passed unanimously.
III. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES OF MAY 10, 2023
Sam moved to approve the minutes. Seconded by Joelle. The motion passed unanimously.
IV. PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comments
V. COUNCIL PRESENTATION FINAL OVERVIEW
We did presentation run for practice (Sam, Julie, and Charlie are speaking)
Council Council Annual Presentation Date: June 6th
VI. DEBRIEF PINERIDGE PARK CLEANUP
Everyone said Pineridge park cleanup went well overall and was good opportunity to bring
youth together
VII. MEGAN LUTTRELL EMAIL UPDATE
Discussion of pride month and juneteenth
DEIA - ask friends if anyone is interested in filling in position
VIII. DISCUSS FINAL MEETING & ACTIVITIES
Charlie is going to bring tiramisu to the party
End of year party : June 14th
Final meeting: June 28th
VIX. CASEY UPDATE
Civic Park Opening Event: June 23rd at 4pm (be there by 3:30 PM)
They need help from youth commissioners: the kids will get stamps at each station, and if we
can help them with stamping
Official vote changing the youth commission logo: 1 against 9 in favor
Vote if we want open submission or in house: 2 open submission 8 in house
X. CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REVIEW
Diane Buckshnis explained things that were discussed in the city council meeting on May 22nd
They talked about May environmental goal & 2024 Budget plan
XI. FINAL COMMENTS
For the city council annual presentation, all youth commissioners have to be there by 6:50 PM!
June 28th: official final meeting if people can make it
