1. Call to Order
Chair Mike Fields called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
2. Correspondence
Chair Fields noted no correspondence.
3. Approval of Meeting Minutes—12/14/2022. 114/2023. 2/8/2023 & 3/22/2023
Commissioner Chris Fleck moved approval of the 12/14/2022 Meeting Minutes. Commissioner
Norm Davis seconded. The motion carried.
Commissioner Davis moved approval of the 1/4/2023 Meeting Minutes. Chair Fields seconded.
The motion carried.
Commissioner Fleck moved approval of the 2/8/2023 Meeting Minutes. Commissioner Davis
seconded. The motion carried.
Commissioner Davis moved approval of the 3/22/2023 Meeting Minutes. Commissioner Fleck
seconded. The motion carried.
4. POLICE BUSINESS
a-i. Review/Approval of Entry Level Eligibility List
Police Commander Josh McClure briefly discussed the candidates included on the list and mentioned
that recruiting continues to be a challenge for the department.
Commissioner Davis moved approval of the Entry Level Eligibility List dated 6/5/2023.
Commissioner Fleck seconded. The motion carried.

a-ii. Review/Approval of Lateral Eligibility List
Police Commander McClure briefly discussed the candidate included on the list.
There was also some discussion about scoring differences between Lateral and Entry Level candidates.
Commissioner Davis moved approval of the Lateral Eligibility List dated 6/512023. Commissioner
Fleck seconded. The motion carried.
a-ii. Review/Approval of Executive Assistant I Eligibility list
Police Commander McClure briefly discussed the candidates included on the list and added that this is
a new position that is Civil Service Eligible but also non -represented.
Commissioner Fleck moved approval of the Executive Assistant I Eligibility List dated 6/5/2023.
Commissioner Davis seconded. The motion carried.
a -iv. Review/Approval of Parking Enforcement Officer Eligibility List
Police Commander McClure briefly discussed the candidates included on the list and added that the list
reflects an increased level of interest from more qualified applicants.
Commissioner Fleck moved approval of the Parking Enforcement Officer Eligibility List dated
6/5/2023. Commissioner Davis seconded. The motion carried.
5. New Business
a. Probation Extension Request from 5/2/2023
Secretary and Chief Examiner Emily Wagener noted that there was a typo in the memo's subject and
the request actually applied to the officer listed in the body of the memo. Secretary and Chief Examiner
Wagener also confirmed that the CBA includes language providing for automatic extensions to
probationary periods for these types of situations.
Police Commander McClure added that the referenced probationary extension already occurred, but
the Commission is being asked to confirm the extension as detailed in the Memo.
Commissioner Davis moved acceptance of the probationary period extension. Commissioner
Fleck seconded. The motion carried.
6. Other
There was some discussion about next meeting dates, and it was confirmed the next regular meeting will
take place as planned on Wednesday, 7/5/2023 at 6:00 PM.
Chair Fields adjourned the meeting at 6:08 PM.
