I. ROLL CALL & ABSENCES
Mara moved to call the meeting to order at 6:01 PM.
Vivian read the land acknowledgment statement.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA & MEETING MINUTES
Mara made a motion to approve this week's agenda; no alterations. Seconded by Sophie and
Joelle. The motion passed unanimously.
III. PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comment
IV. LANDMARK 99 PROJECT PRESENTATION & DISCUSSION
• Planning development director, community culture and economic development director,
director of Parks and Recreation present to give presentation
• 10-acre plot plus 3 acres in the back of the building; 'gateway' to Edmonds
• Common themes: low-income housing, senior housing, retail, community space, police
facility
• The town square concept includes a town square with green space and residential
housing. Does not take access from Highway 99. Isolate the public space from 99.
Townhomes, apartments, green space, retail space, community facility, and hotel
opportunities.
• The village green concept has a larger green space, apartments, an access road,
community center, retail space, and hotel opportunities.
• The Neighborhood concept takes access off of 99. There is a community center,
apartments and access roads. Small green space but a large community center and
public plaza.

• Popcorn around the room for notes and opinions on the suggested options
• Mara moved to amend the agenda to eliminate the question of the day, IG post/poll
ideas, and have Speed -Talking with Older Generations Planning (10 minutes) and then
Sweatshirt Design (5 minutes). Seconded by Joelle.
VI. SWEATSHIRT DESIGN
• Vote to extend meeting, seconded by Cassidy
• Designed a sweatshirt together; decided to place the logo at the back and add a small
"EYC" to the front
VII. SPEED -TALKING WITH OLDER GENERATIONS PLANNING
• Goal is to engage with the senior community in Edmonds
• Location: Waterfront center & Mid December
• Have all the youth bring one question to ask and ask questions; each rotation: around 5
minutes
• Second or third week of January
