Meeting called to order: 8:03 am
Public Comment: Liz asked what's going on with DEMU. Jill said they put a survey together to
find out what the local community needs from DEMU. There's a lot of duplication and wants to
gather the need. Survey will go out after the holidays.
Board Members/Administration in Attendance: Jen Lawson, Venus Forteza, Robert Boehlke,
Beth Sanger, Ricky Bobadilla, and Carrie Hulbert.
City of Edmonds Representative in Attendance: Todd Tatum (Community Services and
Economic Development Director)

City Report: Budget is a big topic. Inflation has out -paced city revenues. Working on
balancing the budget. American Rescue Plan Act funds still available. Landmark property
(Burlington Coat Factory) exploration and discussion is continuing. Vote coming up in Dec.
Comprehensive plan is underway.
Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes: Didn't have a quorum so will approve at next
meeting.
President's Report: Holiday season and everyone is scrambling to get everything in order.
Thinking about filling the board positions. Seats will be available for open and closed door
positions as well. Thanks to the Chamber for hosting Halloween.
Treasurer's Report: Deposits for October is a little low. We were $2,000 low from projection.
New Businesses Added to BID: Beige Blonde, Bethesda Counseling, Hair by Maggie, Aaron
Engle Law, East West Bookshop, Moon Sky Healing, Clarity Legal, Kate Larosee Skin,
McFadden Therapy, Madigan Security, Virtue Cellars
Committee Updates
• Admin: See report above.
• Marketing: Holiday is under way and clings were distributed. Tree lighting is coming up.
First Dibs is on Nov 18. Trolley will be circulating on 4 Saturdays. Emily the Elf will be
making additional appearances.
• Communication and Outreach: Discussed the survey. Liz from Anchor Chic is excited
to be welcoming new businesses.
• Appearance & Environment: Volunteers are taking care of the umbrella buckets. Todd
and Carrie met with the interactive map company. Creative District and Waterfront
content can be added. Discussed housing the map on the Ed site with current data.
Using $15,000 from next year's fund balance. Todd added that budget work is taking up
the bulk of his time and hopes to have the funds to add additional content.
