Edmonds Memorial Cemetery Board Meeting Minutes
November 16, 2023
Call to Order:
Tracy called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm.

Approval of Minutes: October 19, 2023 regular board meeting minutes unanimously approved.
Chair Report:
• Tracy reviewed the agenda. Angie was not able to attend this month's board meeting.
Staff/Administrative Report for the cemetery numbers:
• The board members discussed the sales & burials report.
• Financial Reports - The board members discussed the year-to-date financial reports (through September
30, 2023).
Sales Report - Sales and Services report as of October 31, 2023.

Old Business:
• Board Monument: The cemetery board monument is finished and in place at the cemetery.
• Cemetery Gates: The repair work on the north gate is finished
• Memorial Day 2024 event: Richard announced that he may have a possible speaker for the event. The
board will continue discussing this and other preparations at the January 2024 meeting.
• Walk Back in Time 2024 event: The board is to familiarize themselves with the write-ups that Betty
Gaeng did for possible people to feature in next year's event. We will go over these during the January
2024 board meeting.
New Business:
• 2024 Board Officers: Elections were held for the board's 2024 officers. Ashley Robinson will be Chair;
Melissa Johnson will be Vice Chair; Lin Russell will be Secretary.
• Other New Business: Joan gave a report about the Roslyn, Washington cemetery and the group that
over -sees this cemetery. This cemetery is very historic and quite an accomplishment. The board
discussed this information.
Announcements:
• Angie will attend our next board meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:53pm.
Next Meeting: Our next regular board meeting will be in person Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Frances
Anderson Center.
