City Report: Todd- Bike race updates, possibly August 24, went through the map of the
proposed route and asked for any input on issues with the route. The entire route is 1 km.
discussion of employee parking alternatives on 4th st S. Discussion of effects on different types
of businesses, especially retail and services. Discussed outreach and planning to mitigate
impact. The Wenatchee downtown Assoc has tackled this before and may have some best
practices we can learn about. We requested a town hall discussion to dive deep into the issues.
The special event permit has not been issued yet. Pride will be a full month of events. Looking
for sponsorships. If interested, contact Megan or Todd. Todd expressed his support and for the
BID and all the volunteers and the communication it provides to the city.
President's Report: Assessment bills were incorrect this quarter, new bills will be sent out
soon. By Appointment board position available, candidates wanted. VP is also available.
Kimberly: Discussion of BID Bylaws changes, consultant, We did not include a sunset clause in
our original bylaws, best practices. Kimberly presented the history of this BID. We have not
raised our assessments in 10 years. Our annual meeting is the opportunity for member
businesses to participate, and we are an all -volunteer organization with full access for any
member to participate. We have a consultant scheduled for an initial meeting to find out possible
costs and benefits. This is a good opportunity to update regarding multiple tenant businesses
(ie: Workhorse, Mosiac).
Treasurer's Report: presented by Jason, financials for YTD up through 2023, and projected
2024 and actuals for Jan and Feb 2024
New Businesses Added to BID: Ricky -no new lists since 2023, next month we will have a
large new list
Chamber Program: Olivia announced the Chamber Foundation Laugh a Thon fundraiser for
the WISH fund. The Chamber Foundation is also looking for board members, especially those
with non-profit and fundraising expertise. You do not need to be a Chamber member to serve
or receive WISH fund grants.
Committee Updates
• Marketing: Ridwell is not going to be happening for Green Edmonds. Ideas welcome.
• Communication and Outreach: Annual Meeting preparations, April 16 ECA, invites
going out this week
• Appearance & Environment: Getting umbrella order in. We still have umbrellas in the
basement of Rogue.
• Admin: $250 for operating expenses Jason, Kimberly, Approved
