The special meeting of the Edmonds City Council was called to order at 5:25 PM by
Mayor Fahey in the Library Plaza Room, 650 Main Street.

Gary Haakenson, Councilmember
Roger Myers, Councilmember
Tom Petruzzi, Councilmember
Dick Van Hollebeke, Councilmember
Jim White, Councilmember
ABSENT
John Nordquist, Councilmember

Joan Ferebee, Court Administrator
Robin Hickok, Assistant Police Chief
Paul Mar, Community Services Director
Michael Springer, Fire Chief
The purpose of this special meeting was to select a design consultant to assist the City
perform the architectural and engineering design services for the. public safety complex
facilities. Each team was given 30 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for Council
questions.
The following firms were interviewed, beginning at 5:30 PM.
1. Calvin Jordan Associates, Inc.
2. INTEGRUS
3. Merritt+Pardini
4. Neaton Cronin
The last interview concluded at 9:15 PM. The Council discussed the interviews,
presentations and the qualifications of each team. At the conclusion of this discussion,
the City Council made the following motion:
COUNCILMEMBER MYERS MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER
HAAKENSON, TO SELECT MERRITT+PARDINI AS THE DESIGN TEAM FOR THE
PUBLIC SAFETY COMPLEX FACILITIES AND AUTHORIZE STAFF TO NEGOTIATE
THE CONTRACT. MOTION CARRIED.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:54 PM.
