Whereas, Ws. Deanna Dawson was..elected to the Council in November of 2001 and graciously
agreed to fill Council Position #2 on November 27, 2001 as the position was vacant; and
Whereas, MS. Dawson has resigned her position on the Council as of December 31, 2008 to become
the Director of the Federal Courts Program for Justice At Stake in Washington, D.C.; and

made sure the City and the citizens of Edmonds' voices were heard.
Now, gcerefore, (Be it Resoked, that Deanna Dawson be commended, thanked, and
remembered not only for her countless hours of distinguished service during her term in office,
but also recognized for her prestigious appointment as Director of the Federal Courts Program
for Justice At Stake in Washington, D.C. The Council and Mayor all wish her the best in her
new appointment.
