Deanna Dawson was..elected to the Council in November of 2001 and graciously agreed to fill Council Position #2 on November 27, 2001 as the position was vacant; and Whereas, MS. Dawson has resigned her position on the Council as of December 31, 2008 to become the Director of the Federal Courts Program for Justice At Stake in Washington, D.C.; and Whereas, councilmem6er and/or Boards: Finance, SNOCOM, Community Transit, Sound Transit, Seashore Transportation, Forum, ani the Council, also graciously served? County, Team Child, and the Snohor Whereas, Ms. Dawson, has ig her - plus -years has, sat -,on the following Committees Lon�g4Za-6goue Task Force, Public Safety (Chair), Disability, �r ohomish_ Cnty Tomorrow, Edmonds Crossing Project, EconomicCDevelopment, She has, during her tenure on as a„volunti§6 to Big Brothers and Sisters of Snohomish ish. County Center for`Ba�t�ered Women; and understanding in her term as a Councilmember. Among her many; �muiti faceted -talents, condensing a Council agenda item into a succinct, logical summary is one of her best. She has worked hard on behalf of the City and the citizens not only in her capacity as a Councilmember but as an appointee to all her committees. She, as a member of SNOCOM, Community Transit and the Sound Transit Board made sure the City and the citizens of Edmonds' voices were heard. Now, gcerefore, (Be it Resoked, that Deanna Dawson be commended, thanked, and remembered not only for her countless hours of distinguished service during her term in office, but also recognized for her prestigious appointment as Director of the Federal Courts Program for Justice At Stake in Washington, D.C.
