Resolution 10860006.90000 WSS/gjz 3/2/05 RESOLUTION NO. 1086 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN PETTY CASH AND CHANGE FUNDS FOR THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY. WHEREAS, the various departments of the City have occasion in the course of provision of services to the citizens to utilize petty cash and change funds in order to make change when citizens pay for various fees and charges and for the convenience of employees and citizens alike; and, WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate to authorize the Administrative Services Director to establish and maintain such funds, and where appropriate, to increase the level of funds currently established; now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Administrative Services Director is hereby authorized to establish and maintain petty cash funds in amounts not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per fund for the various City departments. Section 2. Accounting records shall be maintained for all such funds in accordance with generally accepted governmental accounting practices and the rules and requirements of the Washington state auditor.
