Recognizing Edmonds Police Explorer Garth LangCey
-whereas, Garth Langley is 17 years old, a student at Kamiak High School and an explorer with
the Edmonds Police Explorer Program, and
-whereas, Garth Langley has dedicated countless hours of volunteer service, working in the
Edmonds Community preparing him for a planned career in law enforcement and
-whereas, Garth Langley was selected as one of 30 explorers, nation wide, to attend the 2005
Federal Bureau of Investigation Leadership Academy at Quantico, Virginia, and
-whereas, Garth Langley did, in fact attend the FBI Leadership Academy from July 4 to July 8,
2005, and
-whereas, Garth Langley while attending the FBI Leadership Academy, was selected as one of
four to present a flower wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,
Wow, 1rherefore, Be it ResoCw,-C that the Edmonds City Council and Mayor recognize by
Resolution, Garth Langley for his service to the City of Edmonds as an Explorer, for
being accepted to attend Cal State East Bay in California, for his pursuit of a career in the
honorable profession of law enforcement, and for his acceptance and participation in the
FBI Leadership Academy in July of 2005.
