A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING
THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF THE 8TH AVENUE NORTH RIGHT OF WAY DIRECTLY
ADJACENT TO AND IMMEDIATELY WEST OF THE PROPERTY ADDRESSED AS 808
DALEY STREET AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PROVIDE NOTICE THEREOF

WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City of Edmonds signed by owners of interest in
real property representing more than two-thirds of the property abutting upon the hereinafter
described portions of the 8th Ave. N. right-of-way directly adjacent to and immediately west of 808
Daley St.
WHEREAS, it appears that the public interest of the City of Edmonds, Washington, would be
served by holding a public hearing to consider the vacation of said portion of the 8th Ave. N. right-of-
way directly adjacent to and immediately west of 808 Daley St.
WHEREAS, the petition for vacation has been certified by the City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Edmonds:
1) That a public hearing be held to consider whether the public interest and general welfare
of the City of Edmonds will be served by the vacation of the the 81h Ave. N. right-of-way directly
adjacent to and immediately west of 808 Daley St., situated in Edmonds, Snohomish County,
Washington, and described as follows:
That portion of 81h Avenue N. lying between Blocks 81 and 84, City of Edmonds, according to
the plat thereof recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, page 39, records of Snohomish County,
Washington, lying northerly of the north line of the alley in said Blocks 81 and 84 and
southerly of the south margin of Daley Street. Containing 6,599 square feet, more or less.
2) The City Clerk is hereby directed to provide notice in accordance with the ordinance
requirements of such hearing to the parties, notifying them of the public hearing to be held before the
Edmonds City Council in its chambers in the Public Safety Building on January 4, 2005, at 7:00
p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be held.
PASSED by majority vote of the Edmonds City Council in regular, open meeting on the 16th
day of November, 2004.
