RESOLUTION NO. 1010
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DECLARING ONE SIREN TO BE
SURPLUSED TO THE .NEEDS OF THE CITY, WITHOUT A
REASONABLE COMMERCIAL VALUE, AND AUTHORIZING THE
STAFF TO DONATE SAID PROPERTY TO THE EDMONDS
SOUTH SNOHOMISH COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY IN
CONSIDERATION OF ITS MAINTENANCE WITHIN THE CITY OF
EDMONDS FOR HISTORIC AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a siren, five horsepower, 220 volt single
phase, formerly in use at the Fire Department is surplused to the needs of the City, and,
WHEREAS, such property does not have a significant commercial value, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate to donate said siren to the
Edmonds South Snohomish County Historical Society on the condition that the siren be
maintained within the City of Edmonds for educational purposes, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A five horsepower, 220 volt single phase tower siren, formerly in use
by the Edmonds Fire Department, is declared to be surplus to the needs of the City.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to donate said siren to the Edmonds
Historical Society on the condition that such siren shall be maintained in an appropriate location
within the City of Edmonds for the educational use of its citizens.

without encumbrance, and that I have the proper legal authority to transfer ownership.

ownership, as well as all rights of copyright, of the property described below in the Edmonds -South Snohomish
County, Historical Society and Museum from the date of this document forward. M
