Whereas, 191-ho tsas A- 4ffiller was elected by the City Council as City Council President on January 4
2000, to serve until December 31, 2000, and
whereas, He began the year with Y2K, President Clinton and Initiative 695, a new Mayor and three new
Councilmembers and ended the year with Initiative 722 and an unknown President; and
hereas, the 4fiager anb ill (9ounriltrmemhers recognize and appreciate not only his admirable
leadership as Council President but his fairness as well; and
llexeas, Touucil Fresibent Miller executed his duties as Council President with sincerity and
concern for the citizens of Edmonds; and
llex,ea$, 49r, filter put many long; thoughtful hours into the -r5 Policy,. all wlule sitting on
Comprehensive 'Human Resources, Port Task Force, Sr. Center Long-Range Task Force and 3CH
PAC Committees; and
hereas, r_ Ailler also spent many long, thoughtful hours coming up with alphalnumeric names for
committees that he formed; and
hereas, He has accomplished all of this while maintaining a conscientious relationship with his fellow
Councilmember§, and citizens of Edmonds;
