A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS AND NOTICE OF HEARING FOR THE
VACATION OF A PORTION OF THE 180TH STREET SOUTHWEST RIGHT -OF -WAY
ADJACENT TO 8615 OLYMPIC VIEW DRIVE (FILE NO. ST- 98 -52)
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City of Edmonds signed by an owner of
interest in real property representing more than two- thirds of the property abutting upon the
hereinafter described portions of the 180' Street Southwest right -of -way adjacent to 8615
Olympic View Drive.
WHEREAS, it appears that the public interest of the City of Edmonds, Washington, would
be served by holding a public hearing to consider the vacation of said portion of the 180"' Street
Southwest right -of -way adjacent to 8615 Olympic View Drive.
WHEREAS, the petition for vacation has been certified by the Snohomish County
Assessor.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Edmonds:
1) That a public hearing be held to consider whether the public interest and general
welfare of the City of Edmonds will be served by the vacation of the 180"' Street Southwest
right -of -way adjacent to 8615 Olympic View Drive, situated in Edmonds, Snohomish County,
Washington, and described as follows:
That portion of 180 'h Street Southwest which abuts the following described parcel:
that portion of Lot 3, Edmonds Seaview Tracts, according to the plat thereof
recorded in Volume 3 of Plats, pages 75 and 76, records of Snohomish County,
Washington, lying northerly of Olympic View Drive.
2) The City Clerk is hereby directed to provide notice in accordance with the ordinance
requirements of such hearing to the parties, notifying them of the public hearing to be held before
the Edmonds City Council in its chambers in the Plaza Room of the Edmonds Public Library on
February 16, 1999 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be held.
PASSED by majority vote of the Edmonds City Council in regular, open meeting on the
19th day of January, 1999.
