RESOLUTION NO. 886
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS IN SUPPORT OF THE PASSAGE OF
REFERENDUM 96 -01 RELATING TO REGULATION OF ADULT
ENTERTAINMENT IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Snohomish County Council has called for a special election on SEPTEMBER
16 to place REFERENDUM 96 -01 on the ballot to enact stricter regulations on
adult entertainment in Snohomish County; and
WHEREAS, the passage of REFERENDUM 96--01 will add new, stricter provisions to the
County Code for licensing and regulating adult entertainment businesses,
entertainers, and employees, under County Ordinance 96 -045; and
WHEREAS, in order to voice their approval of more restrictive regulations on adult
entertainment, voters of Snohomish County must VOTE YES TO SAYNOon
REFERENDUM 96 -01; and
WHEREAS, the Edmonds City Council urges voters to be aware that a YESvote on
REFERENDUM 96 -01 will result in ratification and approval of Snohomish
County's adult entertainment regulations.
