A RESOLUTION OF SHE EDMONDS CITY COUNCIL FRANKING ROGRER Le MYERS FOR
HIS SERVICE AS A COUNCIIfIE], BER.
WHEREAS, R06ER L. MYERS has served on the City Council from January 31, 1995, to December 31,
1997; and
WHEREAS, the E.DMONDS CITY COUNCIL recognizes and appreciates the outstanding contributions and
leadership brought to the City Council during his tenure; and
WHEREAS, COUNCILMEMBER MYERS admirably served, as highlighted by his efforts in protecting and
enhancing the fiscal integrity of the City of Edmonds through his leadership on the Council's
Long -Range Financial Task Force, and being an exemplary leader in the planning for the
occupation of the Edmonds Financial Center as the Edmonds City Hall; and
WHEREAS, COUNCILMEMB1ER MYERS .showed great leadership for the health of the citizens of Edmonds
and Snohomish County with his work on the Snohomish County Health District Board; and
WHEREAS, COUNCILMEMBER MYERS worked diligently to maintain a positive, professional relationship
with the Mayor, fellow Councilmembers, and citizens of Edmonds while resolving challenging
issues;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that ROVER L. MYERS be commended and thanked for his efforts as a
Councilmember and wished well in the future pursuing his devotion to quality education, good
government, and his family.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED THIS 16TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1997.
