RESOLUTION NO. 837
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, SETTING THE DATE, TIME
AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE FINAL
ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STORM, SEWER AND ROADWAY
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE AREA BOUNDED BY 204TH
STREET S.W., 86TH PLACE WEST, MAIN STREET AND
MAPLEWOOD DRIVE (LID #214).
WHEREAS, the assessment roll for local improvements to 204th Street S.W.,
86th Place West, Main Street and Maplewood Drive (LID #214) has been prepared and filed
with the City Clerk as provided by law, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 35.44.070, the City Council of the City of
Edmonds set a hearing on February 20, 1996, so that the City Council could consider any
objection that might be filed against the assessment roll for LID #214, and
WHEREAS, it has subsequently come to the attention of the Council that an
additional parcel of property must be added to the final assessment roll and, in order to add this
additional parcel, it is necessary to delay the hearing date for acceptance of the final assessment
roll for LID #214 to March 4, 19969 NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Resolution 834 Repealed. Edmonds Resolution 834, which set
a February 20, 1996 hearing date for the acceptance of the final assessment roll for LID #214,
is hereby repealed.
Section 2. Hearing Set. The date, time and place for a public hearing to be held
to consider recommendations, objections and other comments in connection with confirming the
final assessment roll for local improvements to the area bounded by 204th Street S.W., 86th
Place West, Main Street and Maplewood Drive (LID #214) shall be the fourth day of March,
1996 at 7:00 p.m. before the Edmonds City Council at the City Council Chamber, 650 Main
Street, Plaza Meeting Room, Library Building, Edmonds, Washington 98020.
Section 3. Objections. All persons who may desire to object to the assessments
imposed upon their property are hereby directed to make their objection in writing, and to file
them with the City Clerk at or prior to the date fixed for the hearing, and to appear at the
hearing and present testimony and other evidence. Written objections must clearly state the
grounds of objection, and contain lot, block, section, tax or other numbers or identifying
description. THE OBJECTION OF ANY PERSON WHO FAILS TO FILE AN OBJECTION
IN WRITING AND PRESENT SUCH OBJECTION AS DIRECTED ABOVE WILL BE
CONCLUSIVELY PRESUMED TO HAVE BEEN WAIVED AND THE CITY COUNCIL
WILL NOT CONSIDER SUCH OBJECTION. At the time and place fixed herein for a hearing
and at other times to which the hearing may be adjourned, the City Council will sit as a board
of equalization for the purpose of considering the assessment roll. The City Council will
consider objections made to the assessment roll and may correct, revise, raise, lower, change,

or modify the assessment roll or any part thereof or set aside the roll and order the assessment
to be made de novo.
Section 4. Notice. The City Clerk shall cause appropriate notices to be published
and mailed to affected property owners pursuant to RCW 35.44.090.
