WHEREAS, the Edmonds City Council is aware that due to population growth
and the corresponding increase in calls for service to police and
ffire agencies the current public safety radio frequencies are
overcrowded in Snohomish County; and
WHEREAS, the Edmonds City Council agrees an Soo mrnhnz communication
system would improve the ability of our police and fire agencies
to respond to public safety emergency needs; and
WHEREAS, the Edmonds City Council concurs that a countywide approach to
solving this issue is the best approach; r
NOW, , T'HEREFORE, Mayor Barbara S. Fahey and the Edmonds City Counxncih, in
the interest of safety for the community at large, do hereby support the
placement of the Soo 107 HZ Commuunnicatiouas Syst m on the March 26, 19g6, ballot
for consideration by citizens countywide.
