Support of the April 2j, 1996, Edmonds School District Lever
WHEREAS, ]Edmonds School District #15 is seeking funds to maintain the current level
of operations in our schools and provide students with the essentials needed
for their education; and
WHEREAS, the levy loss would mean cuts in every school; and
WHEREAS, on April 25, x996, voters in Edmonds School District #15 will be asked to
approve Proposition No. 1—Replacement of School ]Levies --and Proposition
No. 2--Two -'Year Capital Technology Levy; and
WHEREAS, if both issues on the ballot are approved, the impact to the taxpayer for the
school tax will be approximately the same as it is now; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and )Edmonds City Council believe high duality education
produces excellence in our children and young adults and thus enhances the
duality of our communities;
IVOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Mayor and the Edmonds City Council pass this
resolution of support for the ]Edmonds School ]District's April 23,1996, kteplacement of School
Levies and Two -Year Capital Technology Levy.
