Resolution 805RESOLUTION 805 OF THE EDMONDS, CITY COUNCIL COMMENDING
STEPHEN J. DWYER FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY OF EDMONDS
WHEREAS, Councilmember Stephen J.sDwyer was appointed io the'CitX Council on January 30,1984 and
admirably served the citizens of Edmonds for nearly eleven years; .and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Stephen J. Dwyer will leave the city of Edmonds effective January 10, 1995 to
serve as South District Court Judge, for which the citizens of South Snohomish County elected,
him to; and
WHEREAS, Stephen J. Dwyer represented Edmonds for 11 years on the Board of Directors of SnoCom,
ultimately chosen to be its chairman; and also represented South Snohomish County cities on the
.
Board of Directors of the Snohomish County Enhanced 911 project, ultimately.becomi 1

chairman; and

WHEREAS, Stephen J. Dwyer was the youngest counciimember in the city's history upon joining the•Council
in 1984. While in office, Steve stressed public involvement in city decision making, always with an
eye toward ensuring the public's ability to directly address their concerns to their City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the people of Edmonds manifested their approval of Stephen J. Dwyer's performance by the
manner in which they cast their ballots in that-Stephen J. Dwyer, in three municipal elections. and
one judicial election, was never outpolled by an opponent in a single Edmonds primary election.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Councilmember Stephen J. Dwyer is hereby publicly
commended and thanked on behalf of the citizens of Edmonds for.bis long and distinguished service: The Mayor
and City Council express their appreciation and extend their best wishes to Steve for his continued success.
