A RESOLUTION TO ENCOURAGE THE WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATURE TO
CONTINUE FUNDING SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
WHEREAS, The Washington State Legislature is currently establishing the State's biennial
budget, which includes funding services for persons with disabilities; and .
WHEREAS The City of Edmonds was greatly helped by the State providing technical
assistance and special equipment to facilitate the employment of Scott Palm,
a person with a disability; and
WHEREAS Scott Palm is now a productive, contributing member of the City's workforce;
and L
WHEREAS The Mayor and the Edmonds City Council believe employment assistance for
persons with disabilities is a valuable long -term public investment; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the Edmonds City Council
publicly support and encourage the Washington State Legislature to continue
i its financial support for services provided to citizens of our State who have
disabilities.
