Resolution 780RESOLUTION NO. 780 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS AND NOTICE OF HEARING FOR THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF THE 74TH PLACE WEST RIGHT -OF -WAY LYING BETWEEN NORTH MEADOWDALE ROAD AND 158TH STREET SOUTHWEST; (FILE NO. ST- 93 -84). WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City of Edmonds signed by an owner of interest in real property representing more than two - thirds of the property abutting upon the hereinafter described portion of the 74th Place West right -of -way lying between North Meadowdale Road and 158th Street Southwest. WHEREAS, it appears that the public interest of the City of Edmonds, Washington, would be served by holding a public hearing to consider the vacation of said portion of the 74th Place West right -of -way lying between North Meadowdale Road and 158th Street Southwest. WHEREAS, the petition for vacation has been certified by the City Clerk. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Edmonds: 1) That a public hearing be held to consider whether the public interest and general welfare of the City of Edmonds will be served by the vacation of the 74th Place West right -of- way lying between North Meadowdale Road and 158th Street Southwest, situate in Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington, and described as follows: The Westerly 10- eet of 74th Place West, between North Meadowdale Road and 158th Street. Southwest further described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 10, Block 30, Plat of Meadowdale, per plat recorded in Volume S of Plats at page 38, records of Snohomish County, Washington and situated in Section S, Township 27 North, Range 4 East, W.M., Snohomish County, Washington; Thence Northeasterly along the Easterly line of said Block 30, being the Westerly margin of 74th Place Southwest, a distance of 600 feet, more or less to the Northeast corner of Lot 1, said block 30, being an intersection of the Westerly margin of 74th Place West, and the South margin of 158th Street Southwest; Thence Easterly along the South margin of 158th. Street Southwest., a distance of 10.05 feet to a point which is 10.00 feet distant, as measured at right angles to the West margin. of 74th Place West,; Thence Southwesterly parallel. and 10.00 feet distant at right angles to the Westerly margin of 74th Place West, a distance of 600 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the North margin of North. Meadowdale Road; Thence West, along the North margin of North Meadowdale Road to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Containing 6000 square feet, or 0.138 acres. Page 1 of 2 Sr93 -84 R / 1 414 -93.
