RESOLUTION NO. 744
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, INITIATING A STREET
VACATION PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ECDC
20.70.010(B) WITH RESPECT TO PROPERTY LOCATED
ADJACENT TO 6830 MEADOWDALE BEACH ROAD.
WHEREAS, 174th Street S.W. was originally constructed in
Snohomish County at a location outside of the dedicated right -of-
way;
WHEREAS, the City staff has for several years been
working with adjacent property owners to arrange the vacation of
dedicated unused street right -of -way in exchange for the dedication
of right -of -way underneath the existing street; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has reached with adjacent
property owners regarding the terms of vacation, dedication, and
compensation with respect to the vacation of certain portions of
174th Street S.W.; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of ECDC
20.70.010(B), the City Council hereby initiates the vacation of a
portion of the platted but unbuilt right -of -way of the 6900 block
of 174th Street S.W., Edmonds, Washington. This matter is referred
to the Hearing Examiner for proceedings in accordance with
provisions of ECDC Chapter 20.70. The street right -of -way to be

considered for vacation is shown on the attached exhibit, and
incorporated by this reference as fully as if herein set forth.
