RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, APPOINTING PAT HARRIS OF
THE EDMONDS PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT AS
THE DESIGNATED AGENT FOR THE CITY OF EDMONDS TO
APPLY FOR AND OBTAIN FEDERAL DISASTER ASSISTANCE
ARISING FROM OR OUT OF THE FLOODING WHICH
OCCURRED ON OR ABOUT DECEMBER 20, 1990.
WHEREAS, on or after December 20, 1990, the City of
Edmonds experienced extensive damage to its public roads, public
buildings, and park facilities including public utility service
and other equipment from flooding, tidal action and storm damage;
WHEREAS, the federal emergency management agency
requires the City to designate an agent for the purpose of
documenting and applying for federal disaster assistance;
WHEREAS, Pat Harris is an employee of the City's Parks
and Recreation Department who, as a part of his duties, has been
assigned to assess the City's damage and complete federal
disaster assistance applications; Now, Therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pat Harris, Parks and Recreation
Supervisor, is hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of
the City of Edmonds, Washington, a public agency established
under the laws of the state of Washington any and all necessary

documentation required to obtain federal and /or state emergency
disaster assistance funds.
