A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, '
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
NATURAL RESOURCES FOR FUNDING ASSISTANCE FOR THE URBAN
FORESTRY GRANT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Edmonds considers it in the best interest to
conduct inventories of forest resources and identify opportunities for
reforestation in Pine Ridge Park and Yost Park; Now, Therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor shall be authorized to make formal application to
the Department of Natural Resources.
Section 2. Any assistance so received shall be for consultation services
to assist in the reforestation studies.
Section 3. The City's share for the project shall be derived from 125,
Open Space Fund Account
Section 4. The City of Edmonds has previously budgeted funds in the 125
Fund and authorizes up to a total of $5,000 to meet the 50% matching funds
requirement for this grant.
Section 5. This resolution shall become part of the formal application to
the Department of Natural Resources.
Section 6. Adequate notification has been given and an opportunity
provided for public input.
RESOLVED, this 20th day of August 1991.
