A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS AND NOTICE OF HEARING FOR
THE VACATION OF THE 156TH STREET SOUTHWEST RIGHT -OF -WAY LYING
WEST OF 72ND AVENUE WEST, (FILE NO. ST- 5 -91).
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City of
Edmonds signed by an owner of interest in real property
representing more than two - thirds of the property abutting
upon the hereinafter described portions of 156th Street
Southwest.
WHEREAS, it appears that the public interest of the City
of Edmonds, Washington, would be served by holding a public
hearing to consider the vacation of said portion of 156th
Street Southwest.
WHEREAS, the petition for vacation has been certified by
the City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Edmonds:
1) That a public hearing be held to consider whether the
public interest and general welfare of the City of Edmonds
will be served by the vacation of 156th Street Southwest,
situate in Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington, and
described as follows:
That portion of the right -of -way of 156th Street
Southwest, 20 -feet in width, lying easterly of the
southern projection of the easterly right -of -way margin of
73rd Avenue West, and lying northerly of and immediately
adjacent to the following described parcel:
Part of Tract 24, Meadowdale Beach, lying east of the
County Road, except south 100 feet and except the west 120
feet and except the east 160 feet thereof, per Volume 5 of
Plats, Page 38, records of said county and state:
Together with an easement for road and water line over the
north 15 feet of the east 160 feet of Tract 24, Meadowdale
Beach, per Volume 5 of Plats, Page 38, Records of
Snohomish County, Washington.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND NOTICE OF HEARING:
2) That said public hearing will be held before the
Edmonds City Council in its chambers in the Plaza Room of the
Edmonds Public Library on February 4, 1992, at 7:00 P.M.
