RESOLUTION NO. 701
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING APPLICATION
TO THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR
FUNDING ASSISTANCE FOR AN AQUATIC LAND
ENHANCEMENT ACCOUNT PROJECT.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 79.24.580,
RCW, state funding assistance has been authorized and made
available to aid in financing the cost of land acquisition and
construction of facilities for public access to, and aquatic land
enhancement of, state -owned aquatic lands, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Edmonds considers it in
the best public interest to construct a Marine Interpretive
Center located at Brackett's Landing Park in Edmonds, Washington;
Now, Therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor shall be authorized to make
formal application to the Department of Natural Resources.
Section 2. Any fund assistance so received shall be
used in the development and construction of a Marine Interpretive
Center at Brackett's Landing Park, Edmonds, Washington.
Section 3. The City's share for the project shall be
derived from Fund 125, the Park and Acquisition Fund.
Section 4. Any property developed for use as an
Interpretive Marine Center with financial aid through the Aquatic

Land Enhancement Account be placed in use in accordance with the
terms of the financial aid approved by the Department of Natural
Resources.
Section 5. This resolution shall become part of a
formal application to the Department of Natural Resources.
Section 6. Adequate notification has been given and
opportunity provided for public input.
