A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, RESOLVING TO ANNEX AN
UNINCORPORATED PORTION OF SNOHOMISH COUNTY
LOCATED NEAR THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF 212TH
STREET SW AND HIGHWAY 99, DESCRIBING THE
BOUNDARIES THEREOF, ENUMERATING THE NUMBER OF
VOTERS RESIDING THEREIN, SETTING A DATE FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF
NOTICE.
WHEREAS, an unincorporated tract of land located near
the southwest corner of 212th Street S.W. and Highway 99 is
completely surrounded by land previously annexed to the City of
Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, said tract contains less than 100 acres of
land and no voters reside within said tract, and
WHEREAS, a declaration of nonsignificance has been
issued with respect to the annexation of said tract, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Edmonds
hereby resolves to annex an unincorporated tract of land located
within Snohomish County at or near the intersection of 212th S.W.
and Highway 99. Said tract and its annexation boundaries are
legally described on the attached Exhibit A and shown by map on
Exhibit B, incorporated by this reference as if herein set forth.

Section 2. No persons and therefore no voters reside
within said annexation tract.
Section 3. An ordinance to annex said property,
requiring assumption of all indebtedness of the City (if any),
and zoning the property as CG -2 (General Commercial), high rise
designation, shall be considered at a public hearing at 7:00 p.m.
on the 18th day of April , 1989, at the Plaza Meeting
Room, Library Building, in conjunction with the regularly
scheduled Council meeting.
Section 4. The City Clerk is directed to publish
notice of said hearing by publication of a copy of this
resolution in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Edmonds and the annexation tract. Such notice shall be published
once a week for two consecutive weeks prior to the date of said
hearing.

Beginning at a point on the southerly right -of -way boundary of 212th
St. S.W. 35.00 feet west of the east line of Lot 6, Solner's Five Acre
Tracts, according to the Plat thereof recorded in Volume 7 of Plats,
Page 25, records of Snohomish County, Washington, the true point of
beginning;
Thence North 89 °52'54" West along said southerly right -of -way boundary
to the northwest corner of Lot 5 of Solner's Five Acre Tracts; thence
southerly al "ong said Lot 5 boundary to the southwest corner of said Lot
5; thence continuing easterly along the southerly boundary of Lots 5
and 6 of Solner's Five Acre Tracts to a point intersecting the westerly
boundary of Primary State Route 99; Thence continuing northeasterly
along the westerly boundary of said State Highway to a point
approximately 521.6 feet north of said intersection; Thence westerly
parallel with the southerly boundary of 212th St. S.W. a distance of
84.75 feet, a point approximately 35.00 feet west of the east lot line.
